What is the venue capacity?

The maximum capacity is 150 guests.

How can I schedule a tour?

What do you require to book a date?

In order to secure your date, we require a 50% retainer and a signed contract.

Are there required caterers, bar service, and DJ services we have to use?

No! You are free to pick your own service vendors. We only require them to be licensed and insured. They will need to provide us with a Certificate of Insurance prior to your special event. Caterers are able to use our full commercial kitchen for food preparation and serving!

Can we serve alcohol?

We do not have a liquor license, so you may bring in your own alcohol. Alcohol must be served by a licensed and insured bartending service. A certificate of insurance is required prior to your event.

Can I bring my dog?

Of course! We just ask that you clean up after your pup. Pets are required to be on leashes at all times and must be restrained if causing any issues.

Does the venue have heating and air conditioning?

Yes! The Lodge is climate controlled.

Does the venue have restroom facilities?

Yes! We have beautifully-renovated modern men's and women's restrooms in the Lodge. We also have a functional shower house near the original cabins.

Are you open in the winter?

We are! The property is quite beautiful year-round and there is still plenty for you to enjoy. Keep in mind, however, that the entrance drive is very steep and difficult to traverse in icy conditions.

What is event insurance and why do I need it?

We require all clients to take out a $1,000,000 event liability insurance. Event insurance covers injury to guests and property damage. You can purchase event insurance through EventGuard or use any company you prefer.

Can guests leave cars here overnight?

Absolutely! In fact, we prefer it rather than driving intoxicated.

Can we have outdoor ceremonies?

Yes! We have multiple outdoor ceremony locations including our pine grove and pondside areas.

Are there additional overnight accommodations nearby?

Yes! There are several options depending on the type of accommodations you are looking for:

• Kiser Lake State Park campground — just ¾ mile down the road
• Urbana: Scioto Inn (12 mi), Cobblestone Hotel & Suites (12 mi)
• Sidney: Holiday Inn Express & Suites (14 mi), Greatstone Castle B&B (13 mi)
